The Indonesian government offers fully funded master’s scholarships to international students from developing countries. The scholarship aims to support students who are unable to study abroad at their own cost. The KNB Scholarship offers the opportunity for applicants to obtain a Master’s degree at 19 different universities. The Scholarship covers all tuition expenses and living expenses during the language and preparation year in addition to the master’s duration period.

Indonesian Full Scholarship Details

  • The applicant must not be older than 35 years.
  • Holders of a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Citizens of all developing countries are eligible to apply.
    • KNB offers its awarded applications the following:

      • Settlement allowance (approximately 100$)
      • Full tuition fees including registration fees and other expenses
      • A monthly Salary amounting to:
          1. $ 185 for language or preparatory students.
          2. $185 for a master’s student.
          3. $27 research allowance for Master’s students
          4. $ 23 book allowance for master’s students.
      • Medical insurance throughout the study period.
      • A one-way flight ticket from the country of residence and a return ticket upon graduation.
  • A letter of recommendation from the Indonesian embassy in the applicant’s country.
  • The applicant must obtain one nomination letter from one of the following institutions:
            1. Ministry of Higher Education.
            2. Government institution or agency (should the applicant works for a government agency)
            3. Embassy of the applicant’s country in Indonesia.
  • 2 academic recommendation letters.
  • Copies of passport or birth certificate.
  • Copies of academic transcripts and Bachelor’s certificate/diploma (in English)
  • TOEFL certificate or any other English exam to prove the applicant’s proficiency in English, if available, obtained within the past two years
  • A certified medical report.

  • Prepare all the required documents mentioned above.
  • Download and complete the invitation letter.
  • Send the invitation letter, passport, diplomas, academic qualifications and language certificate to the Indonesian embassy to obtain the letter of recommendation.
  • Complete the online application process.
  • Choose your preferred major you want to study and submit the application.
  • The online application process must be completed by April 20, 2020.
  • The results will be announced in the first week of June 2020.
  • The deadline for accepting the scholarship is July 6, 2020.
  • Students are expected to arrive in Jakarta on August 5, 2020.
  • The application for the scholarship has ended for this year
